For most, if not all, of our new members, you've been fighting for about a month now. By now, you've probably got a good idea of who you are in the Dagorhirim, or at least, what you want to look like.
If you are starting to feel comfortable with Dagorhir and getting used to the role-play aspect of it, this will be a good time to create some basic garb for yourself.
Here is the direct wording from the Dagorhir Manual of Arms on the Dagorhir site:
1.3. A costume that meets or preferably exceeds minimum Dagorhir requirements which are:
1.3.1. A tunic of crotch length or longer. This requirement may be waived only if the rest of the costume (pants, boots, etc.) is of exceptional quality and appearance.
1.3.2. Medieval-style (baggy) pants, kilt, skirt, etc.
1.3.3. Medieval-style footwear (moccasins, boots that are not blatantly non-medieval in style, earth-tone shoes with leggings, etc.).
I'm sure many of you have already heard this, but if you didn't or forgot, ALL the supplies for creating your basic garb can be found at Wal-mart. Look for the dollar fabric for the best deals.
As for how to make the garb, I suggest taking a look at this for the Basic "T-Tunic":

And here for pants:

(You can also cut a pair of old sweat pants that is any of the earth base colors and get the same effect.)
I'm only going to explain this for now, as this is a good start for any beginner. Ultimately, this is an exceptable outfit for the beginner:

Like I said, this is something to START thinking about, as we are being lenient on garb for now, due to the coming close of the Main Dagorhir Event Season. However, it would also not be a good idea to blow something like this off if you plan on participating in official events or other chapter's practices. Remember, in an event, you MUST have minimal costume requirements or you will NOT be allowed to fight in the event. And as for other chapter practice, it's out of respect to them and for our chapter as a whole.
If you would like help with Garb making, let Flint, Phoenix, RHIANNON(!!!111oneoneone) or I know, and we can work out a time for Garb-making. Maybe even during one of our Foam-smithing parties we keep 'talking' about >.> ...
