I have signed up the group to walk with NMC in the Cherry Royal parade on July 14th. I know how early we were there last year, and it did stink a whole mess. I will find out which number we are this year and we will be able to show up closer to when we will actually be starting to walk. I know it sucked being there early and waiting to walk, so I do not need to hear the complaints.
After the parade there will be a picnic at the Hagerty Center, catered by the culinary program folks. Parking will be at the Hagerty Center. If anyone is interested in parking a car at the parade ending, it ends near Saint Francis Church, but we can normally hitch a ride with a returning NMC vehicle or just walk back for those who want to.
We will not be the only student group. The Anime club normally walks, engineering club has the baja car, and Phi Theta Kappa walks as well. There may be more walkers this year, but we'll see. I always urge people to walk if they can, but to keep in mind that the temperatures are high that day, so dress appropriately and do not exhaust yourself when fighting. It is about an 1.5 hour walk, and fighting is encouraged, but the fighting is more showcase as we are constantly walking.
If anyone has questions, please post them.

Christ almighty it's almost time for the parade. Please let me know who all wants to walk/fight in the parade.
This year NMC is number 107 or something near 100. Last year we were 175 at the end of the parade. We will not need to be there until 11:00ish. There will be a picnic afterward at Thirlby Field, at the end of the route.

I should be there. And remember to bring more water. Maybe we should strive for better garb this year?

I'll totally be there too!
And yeah, we should definitely strive for better garb to impress the people watching the parade. I know I'm going to wear my best.

The parade was great! Everyone was friendly. I loved letting the little kids join in. It was really nice of the cullinary students to put on the feed for us at both ends of the parade. The ice cold water sure helped too. Personally I am happy we all made it to the end. Thanks everyone that came
