Last year there were three people, including myself, that walked in the Cherry Royale Parade for Welcrie as part of NMC. I would really like to have more people walk and fight this year, or even just walk. The Anime Club will be having 10 of their members walking in CosPlay, and I think we should at least match their numbers.
Fighting is a little different as we have to keep moving on the parade route. You can take the normal amount of hits, or just dink around, but remember that you can't stay put for too long.
The parade should fall on July 9th, which is on a Saturday. I will have more updates on the parade information when it gets closer to the date.

We do have a location now. NMC will be #140 in the parade route. Our location will be somewhere near State St and Gilbert St. The parade line-up will be along State St. Everyone can pack at the Maritime Building and walk to the parade line-up. Chances are, our spot in the line will be close to the Maritime building. We will also be getting a continental breakfast, which will be at the front of the NMC line.

shhhhh - Heron is in her cocoon - an amazing transformation is about to happen and those that attend the parade just may get to witness the results..... it is her birthday after all....

Unfortunately, neither Rhiannon nor myself will be in Traverse City for this weekend, so will not be attending.
I hope those that do have as much fun as those who did it last year!

Props to those that came out for the parade ! Though we were small in number we did REPRESENT. Whenever the fighting stopped the crowd chanted for more. (Except for those little kids you scared at the end LOL).
