I somewhat feel responsible for not being as specific on the weapon specs and requirements and most importantly, HOW TO BUILD THE SUCKERS. Fortunately maybe this will work as redemption I can't teach anyone how to make weapons because I don't have alot of, if not any, solo crafting experiance. SO...! Go here: www.eryndor.com/gear.phpThey have awesome tutorials on how to build swords, spears, arrows and Javelins. If you are truly serious on making your own weapons, this is where to start.

Really nice tutorials. I want to mention as well for those who might not be as keen-eyed, the tutorials on the main Dagorhir page: www.dagorhir.com/HowTo/howto.htmI want to build an axe soon... as my side weapon.

What, like the curved one that you can feel the core at the tip on? In all seriousness though, I did dabble with the red-colored one-sider before I had my big sword finished. Love you guys' axes at the event though.

In my deffence that curved sword is a year and half old... i think its held up quite nicely ^_^ and the red thing is lame too heavy but the normal blue with the gray alastic sheet now that was a good sword... And yeah...my axes kick ass im not gonan lie. we just built a huge hammer too we were inspired by your guyeses

Gah. I need to start making some of my own weapons. Nothing beats a weapon made for and designed by yourself.
I might try to replicate that smash/stab mace thingamajigger that I used at practice. Just a little better construction, since that thing broke after about 4 swings of me using it..

Yeah, bad bamboo was the flaw in the thing that broke... need to get it green, then wipe it down good.
I figured that thing was older, felt like the foam was starting to wear thin.
Nice... I'm sure it'll look even more fierce with a militia twist.

It makes very sturdy and light as hell polearms if you use the right stuff. Sucks for much else though.

I didn't know that thing had a bamboo core...it was extremely light for its size, so I assumed it was fiberglass or something.

Fiberglass at that length would have snapped in the first swing. You go band flag poles if you want them to last forever or go for Bamboo for the light weight (not as durable) polearms/spears.
PVC starts to bend at a scary angle once you go a respectalbe spear/polearm length. Unless you're using super PVC or something.
